Our school has a wide variety of mechanisms to communicate with our parents and community.
This flyer is an attempt to try and ensure you are aware of the many ways in which you can access information.
Urgent Matters: Please contact us via the phone 9837 3200 for matters which are urgent not via email or our Facebook. Our email and Facebook accounts are not checked consistently throughout the day.
Class Teachers: Your child's class teacher is always willing to make an appointment and discuss your child's needs throughout the year. They are the first point of contact if you need to resolve an issue regarding your child's learning, social issues, welfare or any other concerns. If you are unable to make an appointment time in person, please contact our office or send an email to hambledon-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au
Team Leaders: Our executive team are available to support you if you feel you require further support beyond the classroom teacher. The team leaders for each of our grades are:
- Kindergarten: Mrs McNaught
- Years One and Two: Mrs Gianni
- Years Three and Four: Mr Shaw
- Years Five and Six: Miss Porter
Mrs Hosking and Mrs McEwen:
There are times you feel the need to talk to someone urgently about a welfare, learning or other important matters regarding your child. We are available to talk to you and will try to then support you in finding a solution to your concern.
School App
Our school app is available on Apple or Android devices including iPads.
To obtain the app go to your app store and search for 'Schoolzine' - the app is free.
It is password protected to ensure only Hambledon families and relatives can access the information. Contact us via the phone or email to obtain the user name and password.
You can find the following on our app:
- Notifications – instant information and updates on excursions or events
- Calendar – updated calendar with 24 hour alerts before an event
- Links – to our newsletter, Bug Club, Mathletics etc. can be found here
- Newsletter – PDF version only here
- Notes – the majority of notes sent home
- P&C – contains the meeting minutes and agendas
- Canteen – contains the menu and how to access online ordering
- Forms - Absentee notes can also be communicated via the app and change in address details
School Newsletter
Our new school newsletter is now an online version delivered fortnightly. The link to this newsletter can be emailed to you. Please contact our office if you have not registered for this service.
Additionally, you can subscribe directly to schoolzine to receive the newsletter.
Plus the link to our newsletter is placed on our school app and website. PDF versions are also placed on the website and app but these are not as detailed as the online version.

- K-6 notes and the drop down bars contain notes for individual grades and groups
As well as these main features our website contains a wealth of information and links regarding your child's schooling and education.
We operate a Facebook page for families to access. We have a commitment to ensuring students faces are not put on our Facebook unless with full parental permission for individual instances.
We use this medium to notify you of community events, celebrate events and success stories. The page is strongly monitored and you can side message us for non-urgent information.
We hope this information will assist you in keeping up-to-date and in contact with our school and the many wonderful events, achievements and information happening throughout the year.
