Students at Hambledon Public School annually elect their school leaders democratically. Interested students, wishing to seek the nomination, apply towards the end of year 5. If successful, they address the school presenting the qualities that would make them a good school leader.
The children from Years 4-5 vote to elect 2 school captains, 2 vice captains and 8 school prefects.

Students don't have to be school captains or house captains to be considered leaders. We encourage our students to be leaders in the classroom and playground, through their support for other students, or their involvement in academic, sporting, cultural or community events and projects.
